Aaron and Sasha met in Long Beach, CA while Aaron was attending school for music therapy and Sasha for vocal performance. Already known locally in the avant-garde musician's scene, he naturally fell in with jazz students in adjacent courses.

Soon after, while Aaron was leading his own online lessons detailing guitar technique and music theory exercises, the first riffs and forms of songs began to emerge. He asked Sasha to add vocals and DANKSY was born.

Their unique, irreverent, musically-dense, and boundary pushing Instagram videos went viral and quickly gained traction, and earned the attention of Dweezil Zappa, who agreed to contribute a solo on DANKSY's title-track for their debut album, "Worm & God."

In the meantime, DANKSY recruited their key members through collaborations with Montreal-based performer and producer, Karneef!

Quick chemistry and shared obsessions led to intense in-home, remote recordings from Aaron's closet to studios in the UK, Canada, and SF, finally drawing it's core-members:

- Logan Kane {of Dolphin Hyperspace} (Bass)

- Isaiah Harwood (Keys)

- Henry Plumb (Drums)
